Responsibilities
As a Courier, your main responsibilities will include:
- Sorting, loading, unloading, delivering, and picking up shipments efficiently and professionally.
- Maintaining a high level of rapport with all customers and ensuring excellent service.
- Meeting delivery targets such as Right Day Delivery (RDD) and Right Shuttle Uplift without missed pickups.
- Recording shipment processes electronically or manually.
- Reporting and accounting for any cash received from customers.
- Maintaining proactive work processes, including teamwork and adherence to shuttle procedures.
- Providing feedback and potential sales leads to the sales team.
- Keeping delivery vehicles clean and adhering to traffic regulations for safety.
- Following occupational health and safety policies, including proper manual handling procedures.
- Reporting any incidents or damages to supervisors promptly.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
- Good communication skills with fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
- Valid UAE manual driver’s license with at least one year of driving experience.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, load/unload various shipments regularly.
- Knowledge of local areas and ability to work in different weather conditions.
- Excellent personal presentation, grooming, and hygiene.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
- Understanding of safe manual handling and occupational health practices.
- Experience following operational procedures and demonstrating initiative and attention to detail.
