Responsibilities
As a Packaging Operator, you will play a vital role in operating and maintaining highly automated production machinery efficiently and safely. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Operating packaging production lines and preparing oil blends and additive mixtures.
- Conducting preventative and repair maintenance on equipment.
- Completing accurate production records and monthly product stock takes.
- Operating forklifts to transfer stock.
- Maintaining housekeeping and GMP standards.
- Participating in process improvement activities and health & safety training.
- Lockout/tagout (LOTO) equipment following Cargill procedures.
- Communicating effectively with supervisors and production staff.
- Performing any other tasks within the capability of the individual.
Requirements
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Trade qualification in mechanical, electrical, or fabrication disciplines.
- Strong troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management, task prioritization, and follow-up abilities.
- Accountability and a strong work ethic.
- Computer literacy, including accurate data entry and retrieval.
- Demonstrated high performance, attendance, and safety record.
