Responsibilities

As a Packaging Operator, you will play a vital role in operating and maintaining highly automated production machinery efficiently and safely. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operating packaging production lines and preparing oil blends and additive mixtures.
  • Conducting preventative and repair maintenance on equipment.
  • Completing accurate production records and monthly product stock takes.
  • Operating forklifts to transfer stock.
  • Maintaining housekeeping and GMP standards.
  • Participating in process improvement activities and health & safety training.
  • Lockout/tagout (LOTO) equipment following Cargill procedures.
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors and production staff.
  • Performing any other tasks within the capability of the individual.

Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Trade qualification in mechanical, electrical, or fabrication disciplines.
  • Strong troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, task prioritization, and follow-up abilities.
  • Accountability and a strong work ethic.
  • Computer literacy, including accurate data entry and retrieval.
  • Demonstrated high performance, attendance, and safety record.
