Responsibilities

  • Maintain the overall cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the kitchen at all times.
  • Support stock management, including ordering, receiving, storing, and rotation of ingredients and supplies.
  • Complete tasks assigned by senior kitchen team members and assist with kitchen operations.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while supporting chefs and kitchen staff.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a kitchen hand is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and rotating rosters.
  • Legal right to work in New Zealand.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and commitment to maintaining high kitchen standards.
