Plumber Job In Japan

We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join ASRC Federal Communications on Wake Island, supporting our Air Force customer. This rotational position requires expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems while ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced, and ready to work in a unique island environment with provided housing and meals.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures for water, heating, and drainage systems
  • Cut openings in walls, floors, and ceilings for pipe installation
  • Assemble and install valves, pipes, and fittings using power and hand tools
  • Install and repair plumbing fixtures including sinks, toilets, bathtubs, water heaters, dishwashers, and faucets
  • Repair burst pipes and clear clogged drains
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and follow verbal or written instructions for plumbing layout
  • Cut, thread, and bend pipes using specialized tools and machines
  • Perform other plumbing-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Journeyman plumber license with 5 years of commercial plumbing experience
  • Backflow Prevention Certification/Training or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain secret clearance
  • Pass pre-employment background check, physical, fingerprints, and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

  • Backflow Prevention Certification/Training
  • Fire Pumps/Sprinkler Systems Certification/Training

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and safety standards
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical instructions
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools for pipe installation and repair
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Physical stamina to perform manual tasks and work in diverse conditions
