Job Responsibilities
As a Plumber, your main duties will include:
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment.
- Ensuring compliance with plumbing codes and safety standards.
- Maintaining and servicing automatic flushing valves.
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen grease traps.
- Applying chemicals for clearing soil and stack pipes.
- Ensuring roof-level drainage outlets and ventilation pipes remain functional.
- Reviewing building plans to plan plumbing layouts.
- Selecting tools, materials, and pipe sizes required for tasks.
- Marking installation points for fixtures and connections.
- Installing supports, hangers, sinks, toilets, water heaters, and other plumbing components.
- Repairing and maintaining underground piping systems, sanitary lines, and drainage systems.
Job Requirements
- Apprenticeship or technical training in plumbing.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Good physical condition to perform duties effectively.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance standards, industry regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Good command of English and the ability to diagnose and rectify malfunctions.
